This child's rocker belonged to my grandmother in the early 1900's.  All the joints were loose, there was essentially no finish on the piece, and, of course, the seat was missing.  Oh yeah, it also needed a serious cleaning.

The chair as a 3-D jigsaw puzzle.  The entire rocker needed to be disassembled and re-glued because nearly every joint was loose.

Note where a piece of wood has split off and been lost.

After applying an epoxy putty fill.  The repair is ready to be faux-finished (painted to match the surrounding wood)

The completed repair.  This was actually my first attempt at an epoxy putty fill.

The finished product after applying shellac, and replacing the seat.  The seat was later toned to match the aged look of the rest of the piece.
