A built-in microwave was set on this table during kitchen renovations - plugged in so it could be used.  Somehow, the lights on the underside were accidentally turned on and left overnight, resulting in ugly scorch marks on the table.  Instead of trying to remove the scorch marks, I left them alone and, instead, added color to the surrounding area to make it all blend in.  The bulk of the table was untouched.

First,  I filled a crack that had opened up in a glue joint.

The dark in the center of each of the two spots is scorched wood/finish.

The finished repair.
